QL Space had the incredible privilege of attending the awe-inspiring Kids In Space event at Scitech last week. 👩‍🚀

This program, run by The Andy Thomas Space Foundation and the Australian Space Agency, brought together students from across Western Australia to showcase their imaginative thinking in coming up with solutions for how space technologies can help us solve problems on Earth and how we can help astronauts and scientists do their work in space. The results were nothing short of astounding! From space washing machines to biotech solutions, space junk collectors and anti-gravity salt and pepper dispensers, the students’ designs were truly out-of-this-world.

Judges James Yuen and Darcey Watson certainly had their work cut out for them choosing a winner. We blown away by the range of issues these young minds showcased in front of Minister Stephen Dawson, witnessing firsthand the remarkable talent and enthusiasm displayed by these young space enthusiasts.

The event was fortuitously held one day after the news was confirmed that Australia’s National Space Mission for Earth Observation was cancelled. This event served as a reminder that Australia’s next generation is resolute in their dedication to space technology and innovation. At QL Space, we share their commitment and excitement for the future of space. It is through the nurturing of such remarkable talents and ideas that we know we can pave the way for a strong Australian space ecosystem.

We extend our warmest congratulations to all the participating students, their teachers, and Makers Empire who made this event possible.

Your passion, creativity, and collaborative spirit are propelling us all toward a brighter future among the stars! ✨
