QL Space is proud to share that Divya Krishnamurthy, our Business Development Manager, recently represented us at the International Space University’s Southern Hemisphere Space Studies Programme(SHSSP) 2025. The programme was hosted in conjunction with the University of South Australia(UniSA) providing the platform to bring this world-class space education experience to Adelaide. SHSSP brought together space professionals and students from diverse backgrounds, creating an environment of international collaboration and interdisciplinary learning. We extend our sincere thanks to the ISU/UniSA Funding Committee for supporting Divya’s participation through a half-scholarship, enabling her to gain valuable insights and skills within the global space community.
This isn’t our first involvement with SHSSP—back in 2023, we sponsored Ariane Platell, who gained valuable knowledge and connections through the programme. Supporting our team’s growth through opportunities like SHSSP is part of our commitment to staying at the forefront of the global space sector.
With Australia’s space industry growing rapidly and playing an increasingly significant role on the global stage, participating in programmes like SHSSP allows QL Space to stay ahead of industry advancements while strengthening our capabilities.
Divya’s time at SHSSP included engaging lectures delivered by renowned experts from leading space organisations worldwide, hands-on workshops in model rocket design, space systems engineering, and simulated legal, policy, and commercial problem-solving. The final team project presentations provided a platform to apply what was learned and tackle real-world space challenges.
We would like to extend our gratitude to the dedicated team who made this experience exceptional: Team Project Leads: Mark Rice, Emeline Paat-Dahlstrom, and Anderson X.W. Liew. Key Faculty Members: James Green, Scott Madry, Charles Lineweaver, Kerrie Dougherty and Soyeon Yi. ISU Director: Anna Cordrey Organising Staff/Team: Claudiu Mihai Tăiatu, Arif Göktuğ (G2) Karacalıoğlu, Alex Ryan, Alba Badia Rifà, Malica Schmidt, PhD, Casey Domingo, and Andre Alexandrov.
Their expertise, guidance, and support played a key role in enriching Divya’s experience, equipping her with fresh perspectives and practical skills that will help us continue delivering innovative space solutions worldwide.
