Two weeks ago, QL Space had the privilege of participating in deep tech conference XPANSE 2024, a forum that truly needs to be seen to be believed! Hosted by ADQ, Abu Dhabi’s leading holding and investment company, XPANSE was a blend of multi-sensory experiences, exponential tech showcases, immersive installations, performative keynotes, and sci-music performances. It brought together Nobel Laureates, global CEOs, ministers, scientists, and visionary leaders, in a closed-door agenda-shaping gathering to explore the future of exponential technologies—and it delivered in every way.
One of the core themes discussed was the importance of not just adopting new technologies but also understanding its impact. At QL Space, this is at the core of what we do and something we often see missed. Ensuring our Earth observation technologies create measurable, positive impact is vital to being able to communicate the value of our new EO applications to end users.
Another standout conversation was around the Knowledge-as-a-Service economy, where expertise becomes a key driver of growth, something that is increasingly being seen in the The Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC) as the region is focusing on rapidly diversifying its economy and investing in innovation.
A big thank you to SpaceTech in Gulf for making it possible for us to attend and congratulations to Zina Jarrahi Cinker, Ph.D. and team for a truly memorable event.
